Does the AI ever answer from my drafts?

No. Only published playbooks are retrievable — unpublished changes are never used to answer customers. Publication is the boundary, so shipping a doc and shipping its answers are the same deliberate act.

Do I need Helpdesk to use Playbook?

No — Playbook is a complete product on its own: structured SOPs, versioning, training, quizzes, and signatures. The AI grounding lights up automatically when you use both products together.

How do citations work?

Every AI draft lists the playbooks it answered from, by name and exact version — “Refund handling (v1.3)”, not “the knowledgebase”. You can trace any answer back to its source, and rolling the source back changes what future answers say.
